Actor Ram Kapoor, recently faced criticism for his distasteful remarks during the promotional activities of his show, Mistry. Now, in an interview, he admitted to saying "everything" he has been accused of and confessed to being "guilty as charged". The actor also promised to change his behaviour.

Ram Kapoor on his sexually inappropriate comments

He told ETimes, "This is what I want people to understand. When I'm in a space where I feel comfortable, I become my usual, bindass (carefree) self. That's just how I've always been. Everyone who's worked with me knows that I never intend to offend."

Ram Kapoor also said that he didn't feel that anyone was uncomfortable with what he said as everyone were laughing and joking. "If I had gotten the whiff that they were offended, I would have dealt with it right away," added the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain alum.

The 51-year-old also stated that he wouldn't have said it openly in front of the media people, if he had felt it was inappropriate. Ram also asked to acknowledge his justification as his character has been questioned for the first time in 25 years.

He further said that he cannot be his "obnoxious normal self," and added that he is going to "find a way to apologise to each of those team members who were offended that day on a personal level."

What Ram Kapoor said at Mistry event

Ram Kapoor was reportedly dropped from Mistry promotions for allegedly making sexually inappropriate remarks during a recent media interaction. As per a report in Mid-Day, he made the members of JioHotstar team and others present there uncomfortable with his remarks.

An insider from the streaming platform told the publication that "the tone and content of his jokes were unprofessional," and while referring to work pressure, he said of feeling "gang-raped" and the remark was made while one journalist was setting up her mic.

The actor also apparently commented about the outfits and the family of JioHotstar and public relations teams.

There were also claims of Kapoor saying other offensive things that his mother should have faked a headache and he shouldn’t have been born. He even made references to sex positions, as per the report.
