Just two days ahead of Tomorrowland music festival in Boom, Belgium, a massive fire damaged the main stage, on Wednesday (July 16). The organisers released a statement on social media, confirming that no one was harmed in the incident. Reportedly, nearly 1,000 staff were present on-site, making preparations for the festival which was scheduled to start on July 18.

On Wednesday evening, a massive fire damaged the main stage at Tomorrowland festival site in Boom, Belgium, ahead of its show on July 18.
Videos and photos from the site have gone viral on social media, which show fire erupting as flames and engulfing the structure with alarming speed.
Tomorrowland organisers statement after the fire
In the statement on Instagram, the festival organisers wrote, "Due to a serious incident and fire on the Tomorrowland Mainstage, our beloved Mainstage has been severely damaged (sic)."
They also assured that no one was injured during the incident, and they will go ahead with the event over the next two weekends.
The organisers wrote, "We can announce that, DreamVille (campsite) will open tomorrow (Thursday, July 17) as planned and will be ready for all DreamVille visitors. All Global Journey activities in Brussels and Antwerp will take place as planned (sic)".
"We are focused on finding solutions for the festival weekend (Friday – Saturday – Sunday). More updates and detailed information will be communicated as soon as possible (sic)," they stated further.
As reported by VRT NWS, this year's Tomorrowland stage was approximately 147 meters high and 524 meters wide. It also featured 2,120 atmospheric elements, including 65 water fountains and two waterfalls.
The artists who are set to perform in the music festival include David Guetta, Lost Frequencies, Swedish House Mafia and Charlotte De Witte, as per a report in BBC.

Tomorrowland music festival in Belgium was founded by two Belgian brothers, and it has been an attraction for international audience since its first edition in 2005. About 400,000 people are likely to attend the electronic dance music (EDM) festival.
Thailand will be hosting Tomorrowland in 2026. It is scheduled to take place in December. The dates are yet to be announced.
