Israel Strikes 6 Iranian Airports, Damages 15 Military Aircrafts

The Israel Military on Monday announced that it had destroyed at least 15 Iranian aircrafts by launching airstrikes using its remotely operated aircrafts on 6 airports located across western, eastern, and central regions of Iran.

A post shared by the Israeli Air Force on X in Hebrew language made the claim of airstrike across 6 airports. It included images of destruction done across Tehran’s Mehrabad, Mashhad, and Dezful airports. In the post, Israel claimed it destroyed a refuelling plane, and F-14, F-5, and AH-1 aircraft. "The Air Force disrupted the ability to take off from these airports and the operation of the Iranian army's air power from them," the post read.

Iran retaliated to these airstrikes by launching missiles towards southern and northern parts of Israel. Israel’s YNet news outlet, citing the Israeli military, said Iran fired eight missiles in the first round, most of them got intercepted but that one of them landed near a strategic facility of the Israel Electric Company (IEC). This missile strike has caused an electrical disruption in the area.

Sirens were heard In Northern Israel as fresh missiles were launched by Iran, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces. The military was successful in intercepting all the missiles targeted towards northern Israel but has asked the public to enter shelters and remain there until further notices for safety.
