The Border Security Force (BSF) has released new footage appearing to show Pakistani soldiers fleeing their positions during India’s recent cross-border strikes under Operation Sindoor, HT reported.

The retaliatory operation, carried out between May 8 and 10, targeted Pakistani border posts and terror infrastructure following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

The video, shared by the BSF on May 27, captures the moment Pakistani forces are seen scrambling for cover as Indian strikes land near their posts. At the 1-minute, 9-second mark, Pakistani soldiers are visibly retreating, with visuals showing Pakistan Rangers abandoning positions and critical outposts sustaining damage.

“During the night of May 8, our surveillance systems picked up movement of 40–50 terrorists near Sialkot. A preemptive strike was launched in the Samba sector to foil their infiltration attempt,” said BSF Deputy Inspector General Indreshwar during a press briefing in Jammu.

He added, “They fled their posts. They were not prepared for such a strong response. However, we do expect them to restore their terror infrastructure eventually.”

The BSF confirmed that Operation Sindoor resulted in significant damage to both terror-linked sites and Pakistani military positions along the International Border, according to HT. The operation was launched in direct response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 people.

The footage underscores India’s aggressive posture on cross-border terrorism and reflects a strategic shift toward increased transparency through the release of operational visuals. The BSF stated that the video is intended to demonstrate the effectiveness and precision of Indian retaliation in the face of ongoing threats.

“The Border Security Force (BSF) has released footage of its retaliation and the destruction caused to Pakistani forces during #OperationSindoor, conducted between May 8–10,” the force posted on X.

The video release adds to growing evidence of India’s commitment to taking decisive action against cross-border terror threats and signals a clear warning to adversaries operating along the border.
