Ireland Women defeated Zimbabwe Women by four wickets in the second and final women’s one-day international at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Stormont, Belfast on Monday (July 28, 2025). The home team chased down an easy target of 179 to win the series 2-0 and send the Zimbabweans home without a win over the entire tour.

Zimbabwe had won the toss and decided to bat first aiming to get their first win of the tour.

Zimbabwe could not find partnerships except the one for the fourth wicket between their captain Chipo Mugeri and Modester Mupachikwa who added 94 runs. Mugeri hit 56 while Mupachikwa got 45 and no other batter could go past 15 as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 178 in the last over.

Alana Dalzell picked up four wickets and Lara McBride took three.

Captain Gaby Lewis led Ireland's chase with a measured 44 before Orla Prendergast took over and hit an unbeaten 67 to steer Ireland to a four-wicket win in the 39th over.

With the win, Ireland sealed the ODI series 2-0 while they had already won the T20I series 3-0.

In the series opener, Ireland, led by Gaby Lewis, built on their strong form in the T20I leg, beating the visitors by 97 runs. They bowled Zimbabwe out for 191 runs after setting a 289-run target. Orla Prendergast was named the Player of the Match for her all-round display of a half-century (50 off 53) and miserly bowling (2/20 in 10 overs).
