Security Breach At BCCI: Guard Steals ₹6.5 Lakh Worth Of IPL 2025 Jerseys – Report

In an embarrassing and bizarre twist for Indian cricket’s apex body, a 40-year-old private security guard has been arrested for allegedly stealing an entire carton of official IPL 2025 jerseys from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

The BCCI has taken the matter seriously, having lodged an official police complaint after internal verification. The Mumbai Police continue to investigate whether Khan acted alone or was part of a larger network. The remaining 211 jerseys are yet to be recovered, and further questioning of both Khan and the Haryana-based dealer is underway.
