World's Most Expensive Cricket Jersey? West Indies Champions Unveil 30g Gold-Embedded Kit

Ahead of the opening match of the World Championship of Legends in Birmingham, the two-time T20 World Cup winners West Indies unveiled their jersey in their signature maroon kit -- but with 30gm of embedded with real 18-karat gold

The World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 kicked off on Friday, July 18, with Pakistan Champions taking on England Champions at Edgbaston, Birmingham. But what really caught people’s attention was the West Indies Champions’ jersey which is said to be the most expensive in cricket history. It’s set to be worn by stars like Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard, turning a few heads even before they step onto the field.

Ahead of the opening match in Birmingham, the two-time T20 World Cup winners unveiled their jersey, but with a twist. The Windies' signature maroon kit is embedded with 30gm of real 18-karat gold.

The jersey is a special edition designed in collaboration with Dubai’s luxury brand Lorenze and Channel 2 Group and it will be available in three premium editions containing 30g, 20g, and 10g of gold respectively.

The West Indies Champions will start their campaign against South Africa Legends on July 19 in Birmingham.

The tournament features six teams - India, Pakistan, West Indies, England, Australia, and South Africa.
