ZIM Vs NZ, Zimbabwe T20I Tri-Series, Match 3: Matt Henry Shines In New Zealand's Eight-Wicket Win In Harare

New Zealand registered their second win of the Zimbabwe T20I Tri-series 2025 when they defeated the hosts by eight wickets in match 3 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on Friday, 18 July 2025.

Asked to bat first, the Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe made a modest total of 120 runs, which they failed to defend as they suffered their second defeat of the series.

Opener batters Wessly Madhevere and Brian Bennett added 37 runs for the first wicket. Madhevere (36 runs off 32 balls) was the highest run-scorer for the hosts, followed by Bennett's 21 runs.

Sikandara Raza (12), Ryan Burl (12) and Tony Munyonga (13) added crucial runs, which took the hosts to a respectable total of 120 runs.

Matt Henry was the outstanding bowler for the Kiwis, picking three wickets, whereas Adam Milne, Mitchell Santner, Michael Bracewell and Rachin Ravindra took one wicket each.

Chasing a modest target of 121 runs, New Zealand lost the wicket of opener Tim Seifert in the second over, when Blessing Muzarabani picked up a wicket on his first delivery in the match.

Conway was named Player of the Match for his match-winning knock.

Now, New Zealand will clash with South Africa next on Tuesday, 22 July. But, the hosts will take on the South Africa side before that on Sunday, 20 July at the same venue.
