Won-Sang Um does well to close down his man and snatch the ball away, but he’s a bit too forceful in the challenge. The referee spots the foul and blows his whistle. Free-kick to the Tricolor.
Fluminense force the pressure again and win themselves another corner. The Tricolor are knocking on the door.
Jhon Arias with an absolute screamer! From the free-kick, he whips it over the wall and into the top right corner, inch-perfect and unstoppable. The Tigers' keeper didn’t even move. Tricolor light up Seattle and take a deserved 1-0 lead.
We’ve got an equaliser and it’s a classy finish from Jin-Hyun Lee. He times his run perfectly, latches onto a brilliant through ball, and suddenly it’s just him and the keeper. No hesitation, he fires a low, clinical strike into the bottom left corner. The Tigers bite back, and it’s all square at 1-1.
Darijan Bojanic works his way to the corner flag and whips in a teasing cross into the box. Jin-Hyun Lee is on the end of it and fires a shot, but a Fluminense defender throws himself in the way with a crucial block. The ball deflects out for a corner, the Tigers are piling on the pressure.
What a goal! Won-Sang Um rises high in the box, meets a tricky cross with perfect timing, and powers a header low into the bottom left corner from a tough angle. A brilliant finish under pressure, and just like that, the Tigers turn it around. It’s 2-1 to Ulsan right on the stroke of half-time.
That’s the whistle for half-time, and what a rollercoaster of a first half it's been! Fluminense struck first with a stunning free-kick from Jhon Arias, but the Tigers roared back with two unanswered goals.
Jin-Hyun Lee slotted home the equaliser after a brilliant through ball, and just before the break, Um Won-Sang rose high to nod in a superb header from a tough angle. Ulsan lead 2-1 at the break after a fiery opening 45 in Seattle.
German Cano rises to meet a lofted ball near the penalty spot, decent positioning, but the finish lets him down. His header lacks direction and sails high over the bar. No trouble for the Tigers as they restart with a goal kick. Fluminense still chasing that equaliser.
Keno tries to make something happen down the flank, whipping a dangerous ball into the box. But the Tigers’ defence are switched on, stepping in to clear the threat. Still, it’s not over, the Tricolor earn a corner and another chance to test the backline.
Fluminense are level, and it’s Nonato with the strike! A rebound falls kindly to him at the edge of the box, and he wastes no time. He drills a low shot through the crowd and into the bottom right corner. Hyeon-Woo Jo dives but can’t reach it. Tricolor are back in it, 2-2 and game on.
Concern for Ulsan as Um Won-Sang goes down and immediately signals for medical attention. He’s clearly in discomfort, wincing and pointing to the problem area. The physio rushes on, let’s hope it’s nothing too serious for the Tigers’ goal-scorer.
Fluminense slow things down and start to probe with intent. It’s patient, controlled build-up as they shift the ball around, trying to pull the Tigers out of shape and carve out an opening. The Tricolor are knocking, looking for that one killer pass.
What a turnaround from the Tricolor! German Cano threads a perfectly weighted pass into the box, picking out Juan Freytes in stride. Freytes controls it smoothly and absolutely smashes it into the bottom right corner, giving the keeper no chance.
From 1-2 down to 3-2 up, Fluminense have turned this one on its head in style.
Keno picks up the ball with space to shoot and doesn't hesitate to have a crack from distance. But the execution is off, the shot swerves well wide of the left post, never troubling the keeper. It’s a wasted opportunity for the Tricolor, and Ulsan will restart with a goal kick.
That should do it for the Tricolor! Jhon Arias dances down the wing, reaches the by-line, and floats in a perfectly weighted cross. Keno rises above everyone inside the six-yard box and thumps a powerful header into the bottom right corner. Clinical, commanding, and Fluminense now lead 4-2 in stoppage time.
