Austria GP: Lando Norris Claims Pole As Max Verstappen Slips To Seventh
Lando Norris secured pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix 2025, clocking a sensational lap over half a second (0.512s) faster than Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. It marks Norris' third pole of the season and his first since Monaco. The driver's championship leader, Oscar Piastri, qualified third but was hindered by a yellow flag caused by Pierre Gasly’s late spin. Defending champion Max Verstappen could only manage seventh, ending his pole streak at the team's home track Red Bull Ring. Lewis Hamilton grabbed fourth place, while Yuki Tsunoda struggled again, qualifying 18th for Red Bull.
