Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, made history by becoming the youngest player to score a century in the Indian Premier League, hitting 101 off 35 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Gujarat Titans. The Bihar player, who has been training on a pitch beside his family home in Motipur since age nine, is now part of India's Under-19 squad for the England series.

His father Sanjeev, who left his cricket plans, has supported his son's rise from the start. The batsman's mother, Aarti, would wake at 3 am to prepare meals before the 105 km journey to the academy in Patna. Vaibhav began playing with plastic bats at age five before moving to coaching under Brajesh Jha at Samastipur Cricket Academy.
