The final trailer for Marvel's Fantastic Four: First Steps was unveiled on June 25, ahead of its July release. The major highlight of the trailer is Galactus (played by Ralph Ineson)- one of the deadly villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
Fantastic Four: First Steps cast
Set in a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic version of Earth, Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will be seen as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Franklin Richards, and their robot assistant H.E.R.B.I.E., voiced by Matthew Wood, are also part of the cast.
Galactus and Silver Surfer's entry
The gigantic and menacing Galactus, also known as the “Eater of Worlds” arrives on Earth to consume the planet out of hunger. His presence is so powerful that the superheroes seem overwhelmed and tensed.
Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner is helping him out, but it would be interesting to see till how long she stays loyal to Galactus. Silver Surfer, with a female voice, and metallic tone gives a haunting warning. She says, "I herald his beginning. I herald your end. I herald… Galactus."
One of the interesting things in the trailer is that The Thing is suddenly seen growing a rock beard, who have always sported a clean-shaven in the previous adaptations. The growing of the beard has raised several questions in the minds of fans.
In one of the scenes Reed Richards says to Sue Storm, "The clock is ticking and we are going to find a solution. We are gonna make it right." He also assures to protect everyone. Sue says, "Family is about connecting to something bigger than yourself. We’ll face it together, as a family."

The trailer of First Steps hints at a darker and emotional Marvel story, as the entire family is in crisis due to the cosmic threat. Sue is expecting a baby and the tight-knit unit is now at stake. Now, they have a huge responsibility of not just protecting the planet but also the baby. There seem to be more tension, heartbreaks and sacrifices.
Fantastic Four: First Steps release date
Directed by Matt Shakman, the superhero film will hit theatres on July 25, 2025.
