Actor Ajay Devgn is returning as the 'Sardaar', in Son of Sardaar sequel. On Thursday, he shared the first-look poster of his upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2. In the poster, the actor can be seen wearing a yellow turban and on the poster, it was written, 'The Return Of The Sardaar'. He also announced the release date of the film.
Son of Sardaar 2 release date
Son of Sardaar 2, the sequel to 2012 hit action comedy, is releasing in theatres on July 25, 2025. Ajay is reprising his role of Jassi in the film.
Sharing the poster on his Instagram handle, Ajay Devgn wrote, "The Return of the Sardaar. #SOS2 in cinemas near you on 25th July. #SardaarIsBack #SonOfSardaar2 (sic)." He also tagged Mrunal Thakur, who has replaced Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead in the film.
With Son of Sardaar 2, Ajay is returning to the comedy genre after a long gap and a series of serious films including Singham Again, Shaitaan, Bholaa, and Maidaan.

Son Of Sardaar 2 is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and backed by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series. It also reportedly stars Kubbra Sait, and Ravi Kishan. Sanjay Dutt is said to return as Don.
Earlier, actor Vijay Raaz was supposed to play an important role in the action comedy, but he was reportedly replaced after fall out with the director. Later, Sanjay Mishra was taken on board.
Son of Sardaar 2 will clash with Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's film Param Sundari, at the box office.
