South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by seven wickets at the Harare Sports Club in the fourth match of the T20I tri-series to eliminate the hosts and book a final date with New Zealand. Zimbabwe had already lost both their games coming into the game and this loss means their hopes of making it to the final are now over with a match against New Zealand left.

After being told to bat first, Zimbabwe had another poor start. At one point, the hosts were 44/3 in the ninth over with their captain Sikandar Raza dismissed. Brian Bennett then stitched a top-class partnership with Ryan Burl to bring Zimbabwe back into the game. Bennett was dismissed for 61 in the 16th over and that derailed Zimbabwe's innings again with South Africa bowlers applying a chokehold. Only 22 runs were scored in last four overs and Zimbabwe finished with 144/6 in 20 overs.
21-year-old Tinateda Maposa revived Zimbabwe's hopes with the wicket of both South Africa openers within the powerplay. However Rubin Hermann then was joined by captain van der Dussen and the duo made the match one-sided. Hermann departed after smashing 63 off 39 deliveries but van der Dussen steered his side to victory with an unbeaten fifty.
