England U‑21 and Germany U‑21 are set to square off in the UEFA Euro U-21 final at the National Football Stadium, Bratislava, on Saturday, 28 June 2025. England, the defending champions, will face off against an unbeaten German side in the must-win clash.

Germany entered the final with a perfect record – five wins in five games. This includes a massive 3-0 win over France in the semi-finals. Stuttgart forward Nick Woltemade found the net against France, marking his sixth goal of the tournament.

Antonio Di Salvo’s side have scored 15 goals so far, and they have an unbeaten run stretching to 19 matches. They have scored at least two goals in all of their U-21 Euro matches so far, showing off their attacking prowess.

Meanwhile, Lee Carsley’s England side scraped past the Netherlands with a 2-1 win in the semi-finals, with Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott scoring a brace. The Three Lions had just one win in the group stage, but overcame that stumbling form with a 3-1 victory over Spain in the knockouts.

Despite not having the attacking flair of Germany, England have shown immense defensive qualities. They are aiming to be the first team since Spain to win back-to-back U-21 Euro titles, while Germany are aiming for a fourth title.
