What a start from India! Pyari Xaxa almost scored in the very first minute after being played through, but the goalkeeper rushed out of her box and kept it out. India are dominating the match in the first few minutes.

IND 0-0 MNG (2’)

Extremely poor finishing from India so far, spurring at least two clear goal chances from inside the box. Mongolia break forward, and the ball almost bounces off Odon-Erdene’s body towards the goal.

IND 0-0 MNG (5’)

A great cross from the left side by Guguloth, who dropped her shoulder and floated the ball into the box. Basfore rose the highest and headed it past the goalkeeper. A good start for Crispin Chhetri’s side.

IND 1-0 MNG (8’)

India have continued their forward runs into the Mongolian box, but their first touches have led them down immensely. The chances are there, especially from the wings, but they are not being taken.

IND 1-0 MNG (15’)

After what seemed like an eternity of weak shots on target, India finally get the second goal. This time, Soumya Guguloth gets her name on the scoresheet. She gets an inch-perfect cross from the right flank and finishes acrobatically with a first time left-footer which hit the inside post and crept it.

IND 2-0 MNG (20’)

It’s all too easy for India at the moment. Guguloth does some wonderful work down the left side and then squares it back towards the middle, where Pyari Xaxa is waiting. She shoots first time, and some shoddy goalkeeping work means India get their third.

IND 3-0 MNG (29’)

After three goals, India have reverted back to their wasteful self. Xaxa had an open goal ahead of her but could not get hold of the cross. Again, the chances are plenty down both flanks, but Xaxa and Grace need to up their game soon.

IND 3-0 MNG (40’)

Pyari Xaxa, who missed a sitter some time ago, receives the ball from midfield. She turns and shoots from 30 yards out, and it somehow beats the Mongolian keeper to find the back of the net.

Just one minute added on by the fourth official.

IND 4-0 MNG (45’)

It’s half-time at Chiang Mai, and India are four goals to the good. They will be slightly disappointed though, as they could have easily had six or seven goals after some easy chances for the forwards were wasted away.

Hopefully, more of the same in the next 45 minutes.

The second half is underway! Will we see the same attacking football from India?

IND 4-0 MNG (46’)

India strike in the very first minute of the second half. This time, the cross is from the right flank by Dangmei Grace, and Xaxa is in the middle to poke it past the keeper to complete her hattrick.

IND 5-0 MNG (46’)

Worrying signs as Badamkhatan goes down in pain. The stretchers are brought on, and she leaves the field. The play continues. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious.

Meanwhile, India push forward quickly, and Xaxa gets her fourth goal of the game with another simple finish from the box, getting at the end of an inviting cross from the left flank.

IND 6-0 MNG (52’)

It’s Pyari Xaxa shot going on at Chiang Mai. This time, the ball is rolled in from the right flank, and Grace has a go at it but miscues the shot. Xaxa is just beside her roll it in past the goalkeeper, who, like most of the goals, should have done better.

IND 7-0 MNG (55’)

It’s a proper thrashing going on here. You have to feel for the goalkeeper, Tumurbat. She is not having the best of games, and she spills what should have been an easy collection, but spills it under absolutely no pressure. Fair play to Soumya – she went up to press and picked up the loose ball, and put it in the back of the net.

IND 8-0 MNG (59’)

Same old, same old. Substitute Malavika runs down the right flank with no challenge coming in from Mongolian defenders and squares it back, and Rimpa Haldar is the fastest to get on the end of it to poke it home.

IND 9-0 MNG (67’)

Mongolia really need to look at their goalkeeping here. The ball is floated to Kiran Pasda, and Tumurbat rushes out to clear it but completely messes it up. Pasda passes it to Malavika, and she slots it into an empty net.

IND 10-MNG (71’)

You have to really feel for Mongolia here. They have absolutely no response to India’s expansive wing play. This time, Xaxa does well to keep the ball in and cross it to the middle of the box. Basfore rises to get a header, but the ball falls to Priyadarshini on the edge of the box. She makes no mistakes, and India have their 11th goal of the day.

IND 11-MNG (73’)

India earn a penalty after a scrappy handball in the box. Dangmei Grace steps up to take the spot kick, and it’s as cool as you like it! A dozen goals for India today.

IND 12-0 MNG (75’)

Finally, Mongolia make a change in the goalkeeper, as Tumurbat comes off for Munkhzul Ariunbold. Really tough day in the office for Mongolia’s #1.

IND 12-0 MNG (79’)

The change in goalkeeper has not changed Mongolia’s fortunes, as Priyadarshini gets her second goal of the match. It’s the same script for India as a cross comes from the right edge of the box from Xaxa, and the substitute slots it home.

IND 13-0 MNG (86’)

Three minutes of added time indicated by the fourth official. Thankfully for Mongolia, India do not score any more during that time, and it FINALLY comes to an end as the referee blows for full time.

Not a bad match by India, one could say.
