Alexander Bublik reached his maiden ATP Tour-level clay-court final as he dispatched Arthur Cazaux in straight sets at the Gstaad Open.

A 73-minute 6-1 7-5 defeat of Cazaux ensured Bublik will take on Juan Manuel Cerundolo in Sunday's final.

J.M. Cerundolo, who will be back in the top 100 next week for the first time since 2023, followed up his defeat of Casper Ruud by beating qualifier Ignacio Buse 6-3 6-3.

The Argentine fared better than his brother, Francisco, who was beaten by Luciano Darderi at the Bastad Open.

World number 20 Francisco Cerundolo was the top seed, but came unstuck 6-2 3-6 7-6 (7-3) against Darderi, who entered this week ranked at 55 by the ATP.

Darderi will take on Jesper De Jong in the showpiece match, following the Dutchman's defeat of Camilo Ugo Carabelli.

At the Los Cabos Open, Aleksandar Kovacevic claimed a shock 3-6 6-4 6-4 win over Andrey Rublev to tee up a final against Denis Shapovalov.

Rublev was aiming for his 250th ATP-Tour-level hard-court win.

Data Debrief: Bublik back in the big time

No matter the result on Sunday, Bublik has ensured he will be back in the ATP's top 30 next week, for the first time this season.

Bublik has now reached 13 Tour-level finals, and won a grass-court title at the Halle Open ahead of Wimbledon.

Francisco Cerundolo (21-10), on the other hand, has fallen a win short of matching Carlos Alcaraz's 22 victories on clay this year.
