On Tuesday, the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards nominees were announced. Martin Scorsese, 82, landed his first Emmy in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series category for his guest appearance in the Apple TV+ comedy, The Studio. He bagged the nom alongside Jon Bernthal for The Bear and four other guest stars of The Studio: Bryan Cranston, Dave Franco, Ron Howard and Anthony Mackie.
Martin's daughter Francesca, 25, took to her Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the director reacting to the nomination with an emotional face.
In her first post, Francesca shared a picture of the nominees, and put a confetti over her father's photo. She wrote, "Our little actor."
In another post, Francesca, shared the screenshot of her father while they were talking over a FaceTime call. The picture shows the Taxi Driver director holding his hands over his face.

The Killers of the Flower Moon director had earlier received nominations for an Emmy Award, but not for acting. Scorsese's first Emmy was in 2011 which he won for directing an episode of the drama series Boardwalk Empire. In 2012, he won two more Emmys for directing and producing the documentary, George Harrison: Living in the Material World.
