Gunman Kills Four In NYC Skyscraper Shooting, Blames NFL For Alleged Brain Injury

In a shooting in midtown Manhattan on Monday evening, a 27-year-old gunman, Shane Tamura from Las Vegas, opened fire inside a skyscraper, housing the headquarters of the National Football League (NFL). He killed four people and injured several others before turning the weapon on himself. One of the deceased was a New York City police officer working security, and another was an employee of financial giant Blackstone, according to BBC.

According to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Tamura left a handwritten note blaming the NFL for his mental health. The note indicated that he believed he was suffering from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), a known brain disease associated with contact sports, Addams said in his interview with CBS.
