The Indian Embassy in Cambodia on Saturday issued an advisory for Indian nationals, asking them to avoid travelling to the border areas amid the ongoing conflict between Cambodia and Thailand. The embassy has shared a helpline number and email IDs for Indian nationals to contact in case of an emergency.

“In view of the ongoing clashes at the Cambodia-Thailand border, Indian nationals are advised to avoid travelling to the border areas,” the advisory said. The embassy, located in Cambodia’s capital of Phnom Penh added that “In case of any emergency. Indian nationals may approach the Embassy of India, Phnom Penh at +855 92881676 or email cons.phnompenh@mea.gov.in.”

The advisory follows a similar message by the Indian embassy in Thailand which had advised Indian nationals to avoid visiting border areas. “In view of the situation near the Thailand-Cambodia border, all Indian travellers to Thailand are advised to check updates from Thai official sources, including TAT 타이산카지노room,” the Indian embassy wrote in a post on its official X handle.

The clashes between Cambodia and Thailand entered the third day on Saturday. Cambodia’s defence ministry reported that 13 people had died in the fighting so far, which includes eight civilians and five soldiers, while 71 others were wounded, AFP reported.

The humanitarian toll is mounting rapidly. More than 80,000 people have been displaced, 58,000 from Thailand and over 23,000 from Cambodia, as fighting spreads across multiple flashpoints along the frontier.

Diplomats at the meeting said the Security Council had urged both countries to exercise maximum restraint and seek a diplomatic path forward. No other Council members made public statements after the session.
