Marvel's The Fantastic Four: First Steps hit the theatres on Friday, July 25. The superhero film has opened to mainly positive reviews and had a modest start at the Indian box office. It has failed to beat the opening day collections of James Gunn's Superman, Brad Pitt starrer F1 and Scarlett Johansson's Jurassic World Rebirth.

The Marvel Studios' film (IMAX 3D) earned an estimated Rs 5.10 crore in nett in India on its opening day, as per a report in Sacnilk. It had an overall 55.53% English occupancy on Friday. Throughout the day the occupancy rates of The Fantastic Four: First Steps remained solid. The morning and the afternoon shows had occupancy rates of 44.13% and 45.03%, while the evening and night shows performed even better with 59.36% and 73.60%, respectively.
Brad Pitt’s high-octane racing drama F1 had earned Rs 5.5 crore nett on its opening day in India, while David Corenswet starrer Superman collected Rs 7 crore in nett in India on day 1 of its release. Jurassic World Rebirth’s opening day haul was Rs 9.2 crore.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps worldwide collection
According to reports, The Fantastic Four: First Steps earned $24.4 million from the previews. It raked in $27 million at the overseas box office in two days. It is expected to earn $120 million and $130 million in its 3-day opening weekend and $110 million to $120 million over the 5-day opening overseas. So, the global collection could be between $230 million and $250 million.
