Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, which is made in two parts, is one of the much-awaited upcoming projects, with a stellar ensemble cast. In a recent interview, actor Jaideep Ahlawat revealed that he was offered the role of Vibhisan in Ramayana, but had to turn it down. Here's why.

Why Jaideep Ahlawat rejected Ramayana

Jaideep Ahlawat told The Lallantop that he had to back out of Ranbir Kapoor starrer due to scheduling issues. He said since Vibhishan is Ravan’s younger brother, the makers was looking for someone whose dates matched with Yash, who is essaying the role of Ravan in the magnum opus.

The Paatal Lok actor said that Yash’s dates were more ‘important’ than his own. He shared, “Unko ek particular timing chahiye tha kyunki Vibhishan ke saath Ravan ka hona zaroori hain… toh do actors ke dates ke saath match hona tha. I’m sure Ravan ki dates mujh se zyada important hogi (They wanted a particular timing for the two actors who would be playing Vibhishan and Ravan, which did not happen. I am sure the dates of the actor playing Ravan are more important).”
