Actor Vijay Deverakonda has been reportedly admitted to a hospital, after being diagnosed with dengue. A report in India Today states that he is currently under medical care and is expected to be discharged soon. His family has been with him for support. Vijay has faced the health problem ahead of the release of his much-anticipated film, Kingdom, which is releasing in July.
The actor and his team haven't released any statement about the health condition. As Deverakonda recovers, the film's team continues to prepare for its upcoming release.
Kingdom release date
Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, Kingdom was earlier scheduled to be released worldwide on March 28, 2025, but was pushed to May 30, 2025. It got postponed again to July 4, due to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. It will now arrive in theatres on July 31, 2025.

A new teaser was unveiled recently, which showed Vijay in a dual avatar. The Liger star has left no stone unturned to get into the skin of his character. Set against the backdrop of the post-Independence Sinhala-Tamil conflict, Kingdom promises to be filled with high-octane action sequences.
Apart from Deverakonda, Kingdom also stars Bhagyashree Borse and Satyadev in key roles.
It is backed by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Creations. Girish Gangadharan and Jomon T John have served as the cinematographers and music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Naveen Nooli has taken care of the editing.
Apart from Kingdom, Deverakonda will also be seen in Rowdy Janardhan, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and produced by Dil Raju.
