A new digital initiative is set to transform the way India’s dairy farmers manage their livelihoods. The Dairykhata app has been launched to help farmers track herd health, streamline operations, set vaccination reminders, keep track of breeding dates, monitor expenses and profit tracking, and sell their products directly to consumers without relying on intermediaries.

The platform combines simple technology with local insight, offering tools in regional languages, offline functionality, and voice input features. Farmers can register cattle, monitor milk production, receive health alerts, keep a record of calving history, get alerts for milk pickups, and price their products based on real-time local demand. By digitizing these processes, the app supports increased income generation and improved livestock welfare for small-scale dairy farmers.

Venugopal Naidu Puvvada has gained recognition for his work in building inclusive digital solutions, has supported the development of Dairykhata with a focus on accessibility and rural relevance. His involvement has helped ensure that the app remains rooted in the everyday needs of dairy communities while also reflecting deeper values drawn from his long-standing association with Gauseva - the tradition of serving and protecting cows.

“Dairy is more than a livelihood - it is tradition, responsibility, and survival for millions,” said Venugopal. “With Dairykhata, we are using technology to honour that tradition while enabling better service, stronger safeguards, and real prosperity. Seva, Suraksha, Samriddhi is not just a vision, it is the foundation of this effort.”

The app has already been piloted in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, where early users report easier herd tracking and faster, more transparent product sales. Built in close collaboration with dairy cooperatives and veterinary experts, the platform addresses everyday operational issues faced by farmers.

Venugopal Naidu Puvvada, founder of Dairykhata, further added, “We are continuing to support the Dairykhata app's expansion and future features, including access to low-interest microcredit (starting at Rs 10,000), livestock insurance up to Rs 1 lakh, and on-demand veterinary teleconsultations, which can significantly boost the income and security of rural households.”

As India deepens its push for inclusive digital growth, tools like  represent a new wave of innovation - one that values local knowledge, supports traditional livelihoods, and ensures that the benefits of technology truly reach the last mile.
