Israel-Iran Conflict: 'Like I got India-Pakistan, Israel-Iran will also make deal', Trump

The Middle East teetered on the edge of further escalation Sunday as Iran and Israel exchanged heavy missile fire, leaving scores dead and injured across both nations. Iranian armed forces broadcast a stern warning on state television, urging Israeli citizens to evacuate “vital areas” for their own safety, stating, “Do not let the brutal regime use you as human shields.”

The warning came just before Iran launched a new barrage of missiles targeting locations inside Israel. At least four people were reported injured in Haifa following missile impacts, with explosions also heard in Tel Aviv. The Israeli military responded swiftly, asking citizens to seek protective shelters and emphasizing that “the defence is not airtight.”

In retaliation, the Israeli Air Force began a wave of strikes targeting dozens of surface-to-surface missile facilities in western Iran. Residents in Tehran told CNN they felt tremors from the explosions, as the conflict intensified throughout Sunday.

Amidst the rising tensions, the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad issued a security alert, warning Americans in Iraq of a “heightened risk of violence” and urging them to avoid public gatherings and locations frequented by foreigners. The State Department reiterated its Level 4 Travel Advisory for Iraq, strongly discouraging any travel to the country.

Casualties from the conflict are rising. A Washington-based human rights group, Human Rights Activists, reported that Israeli strikes in Iran have killed at least 406 people and injured another 654. The attacks reportedly targeted military leadership, residential areas, and nuclear infrastructure. However, these figures are yet to be officially confirmed by Iranian authorities.

Closer to home, concerns are growing for Indian nationals in the region. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah confirmed he spoke with External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar regarding the safety of Kashmiri students studying in Iran. In a post on X, Abdullah said Jaishankar assured him that the Indian government is “in close contact with Iranian authorities and taking all necessary steps to safeguard Indian citizens.”

This came after NC leader Agha Ruhullah claimed that an Israeli airstrike had struck a hostel housing several Kashmiri students. While official verification is awaited, the Indian government has pledged to remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring the safety of its nationals.

As both nations continue to trade fire, global powers are watching with growing concern, fearing a broader regional conflagration.

Iran’s armed forces have asked Israelis to leave the vicinity of “vital areas” for their safety, in a video statement broadcast by state TV around the time that Iran sent a new barrage of missiles.

“We have a data bank of vital and critical areas in occupied territories and call upon you not to let the brutal regime use you as human shields. Do not stay or travel near these critical areas,” an armed forces spokesperson said.

Israel’s National Emergency Service is reporting at least four people injured in Haifa, northern Israel, following Iranian missile strikes.

Reuters news agency is also reporting projectiles landing in Haifa with explosions reported on impact.

Israeli military has asked citizens to head to protective shelters after it detected missiles launched by Iran. International media reported air raid sirens as well explosions were heard all over Tel Aviv.

“The defence is not airtight, and therefore, it is imperative to continue following the instructions of the Home Front Command,” it said in a post on X.

According to CNN, US President Donald Trump rejected​ a plan by the Israelis to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. CNN quoted one US official who didn't want to be named.

“The IAF began a series of strikes on dozens of surface-to-surface missile targets in western Iran,” the IDF’s statement read.

The strikes between Iran and Israel continued throughout Sunday. Israel warned citizens across the country to stay near shelters after detecting missiles, while residents in the Iranian capital Tehran told CNN they felt fresh explosions shake the city on Sunday afternoon.

Israeli Army has launched air strikes on Western Iran. The Israeli army has issued a statement saying it begun a wave of air strikes targeting ` missile sites 'in the area.

According to Iranian state TV, at least five persons have been killed in an Israeli strike on a residential building in Tehran.

The US embassy in Baghdad issued a security alert on Sunday warning of an increased potential for violence or attacks against Americans in Iraq.

“The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is aware of the increased potential for foreign terrorist organization-inspired violence or attacks against U.S. businesses and locations frequented by U.S. citizens,” the security alert said.

The embassy urged US citizens to avoid locations frequented by foreigners and any large gatherings or crowds.

The State Department maintains a Level 4 Travel Advisory for Iraq, meaning Americans should not travel to Iraq for any reason.

Turkiye’s president Erdogan welcomed Trump’s latest statement on possible peace between Iran and Israel and urged the US president to take action immediately to prevent a disaster “that could set the region on fire”.

Aljazeera said Erdogan spoke and his US counterpart have discussed the conflict between Israel and Iran over the phone.

He also said Ankara was ready to play a facilitator role 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox 타이산카지노 on Sunday that he launched airstrikes against Iran to prevent “a nuclear holocaust,” . He claimed Israel had intelligence that Iran was months away from developing an initial nuclear weapon.

“We had to act,” Netanyahu told Fox’s Bret Baier on Sunday. “It was the 12th hour, and we did act. To save ourselves but also … to protect the world from this incendiary regime.”

“The intel we got and we shared with the United States was absolutely clear: That they were working in a secret plan to weaponize the uranium, they were marching very quickly, they would achieve a test device and possibly an initial device within months, and certainly less than a year,” he said.

Aljazeera quoted the official IRNA news agency saying border units prevented 44 drones and quadcopters from entering the country’s airspace in the past 48 hours.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has claimed United States `undoubtedly plays a direct role in Israel's military operations in Iran.

The president was quoted by Fars state media agency saying, `` “[US Special Envoy Steve] Witkoff told [Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas] Araghchi, ‘Israel cannot do anything without our permission’ – this means Israel’s actions are carried out with direct approval from the United States.”

Pezeshkian continued to claim that “what we are witnessing today is being done with Washington’s direct backing, even though they try to conceal their role in the media.”

Israeli strikes on Tehran on Sunday afternoon have been in more densely populated and residential areas. According to CNN, they include three busy intersections in the city: Tajrish and Quds Square, Shariati Avenue and Valiasr Square.

These are Tehran's major shopping and commercial centres.

Social Media posts show large scale devastation in the area.

Gautam Adani-led group’s Haifa port in Israel remained unaffected in Saturday night Iranian ballistic missile attack.

Media reports said cargo operations progressing remained unhampered.

Times of India said quoted two sources saying that sharpnels fell in the chemical terminal at the port and some other projectiles fell at the oil refinery. They claimed there were no injuries.

US President Donald Trump has pledged that Iran and Israel ''will make a deal'' to pause their conflict. Trump insisted that many calls and meetings are taking place to get both sides to pause fighting.

The exchange of fire between Israel and Iran enters its third day with no signs of abating. On June 15, Israel’s military said it had conducted precision strikes at Iran’s defence ministry headquarters in Tehran. It added that the targeted sites were associated with Iran’s nuclear program.

"The targets included the Iranian Ministry of Defense headquarters, the headquarters of the SPND (Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research) nuclear project, and additional targets," the Israeli ministry said in a statement, reported AFP.

For the last 48 hours, an escalated military conflict between the country has resulted in deaths and casualties on both sides. The fresh wave of fire began with Israel launching its 'Operation Rising Lion', a massive aerial offensive at key Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure, including facilities in Tehran.
