Two private schools in Delhi received a bomb threat on Wednesday, causing authorities to evacuate the premises for a survey. The incident marks the third consecutive day that education institutes in the national capital received bomb threats. The threats in the past two days turned out to be hoaxes.

The July 16 warning was received via email, and threatened to blow up St Thomas School in Dwarka. The email was sent at 5.26 AM, while Vasant Valley School got a similar threat at 6.30 am, PTI reported. Security and precautionary measures were employed immediately.

An official told PTI that nothing suspicious has been found yet. For St Thomas School, this was a second bomb threat in less than 24 hours.

Teams of Delhi Police, bomb disposal squad, dog squad and cyber experts were rushed to the schools, and thorough searches were conducted.

St Stephen's College and St Thomas School also received bomb threats through email on July 15, prompting authorities to launch an extensive search operation, officials stated that nothing suspicious has been recovered so far.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia said St Stephen's College reported receiving the bomb threat at 7:15 am.

"The mail claimed that four IEDs and two RDX bombs have been planted on the premises and in the library of the college. It further claimed that those would explode by 2 pm," the police officer was quoted as saying in a statement.

Teams from the Maurice Nagar Police Station and other agencies quickly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the entire premises. A comprehensive search was conducted, but officials confirmed that nothing suspicious has been detected so far.

According to the Delhi Fire Services, the fire department received a call about the bomb threat at St Stephen's College at 8:50 am, followed by another call from St Thomas School at 8:01 am.
"We have rushed multiple fire tenders to the spot. Nothing suspicious was found during the check," it said.
