After recovering from fitness issues India’s top men’s doubles pair, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, are set to return to action at the Singapore Open Super 750 on Tuesday.
This will be Sat-Chi's first appearance since the All England Open in March, where they withdrew in the second round due to Chirag’s back injury. The former world number 1 also missed the Sudirman Cup, with Satwik dealing with health concerns.
The top Indian men’s doubles duo, who reached the semifinals at both the Malaysia Open and India Open earlier this year, will be aiming to go all the way this time and end their semifinal jinx.
Now fully fit, the Indian team, which reached the semifinals of the Malaysia Open and India Open earlier this year, will open against Malaysia’s Choong Hon Jian and Muhammad Haikal.
Their Malaysian opponents are coming off a straight-games loss to Japan’s Takuro Hoki and Yugo Kobayashi at the Malaysia Masters.
