The highly anticipated group stage clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is set to take place on October 5 at the iconic R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
While India enter the tournament as hosts, their campaign kicks off on September 30 against Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The round-robin stage will run till October 26, with the top four teams progressing to the semifinals on October 29 and 30, and the final to be played on November 2.
India hold a dominant 11-0 head-to-head record over Pakistan in Women’s ODIs, including a convincing 107-run win in their last World Cup meeting in Mount Maunganui during the 2022 edition. The top four sides from the round-robin stage will progress to the semifinals. with first place playing fourth and second taking on third.
