Rwanda defeated Sierra Leone by 51 runs in the final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier Division 2, 2025 at Botswana Cricket Association Oval 1 in Gaborone on Saturday, 26 July 2025.
Asked to bat first, Rwanda made 135/7 in 20 overs and restricted Sierra Leone to 84 runs to win the match by 51 runs.

Rwanda lost their first wicket when Merveille Uwase was dismissed by Ann Kamara in the first over. Then, Marie Bimenyimana (40) and Gisele Ishimwe (44) added 63 runs for the second wicket.
Georgette Ingabire (18 off 18 balls) was another batter to score in double digits for Rwanda as they made 135/7 in 20 overs. Aminata Kamara, Ann Kamara and Fatu Pessima picked two wickets each.
In response, Sierra Leone added 13 runs for the first wicket. Linda Bull and Zainab Kamara were other batters to make runs in double digits for Sierra Leone. They were bowled out for 84 runs.
Four batters were involved in run outs for Sierra Leone as Belise Murekatete, Rosette Shimwamana and Rosette Shimwamana took a couple of wickets each for Rwanda.
Gisele Ishimwe was named Player of the Match as Rwanda clinched the trophy.
