Lando Norris crashed into the back of teammate Oscar Piastri while battling for fourth at the Canadian Grand Prix. Norris, who had been quicker throughout the weekend, was charging through the field and closed in on Piastri in the final laps while battling for fourth place.
Desperate to make a jump, Norris lunged down the inside into Turn 1, but there was no real gap. He clipped the rear of Piastri’s car, causing his own retirement. The Brit immediately took responsibility, calling it a 'fool' act. The clash cost Norris important championship points and also deepened the already heated intra-team title rivalry at the Papaya.
