Napheesa Collins hailed the Minnesota Lynx's defense after they cruised past the Las Vegas Aces to earn their 14th home win of the season.

The Lynx earned a 109-78 win on Friday to improve to 14-0 on their home court, with Napheesa Collier leading the team with 25 points.

Collier shot 7-of-12 from the field and added nine rebounds, while Courtney Williams added 23 points and was 10-of-12. Minnesota shot 54.4% in their highest-scoring game of the year.

But they impressed on the other side as well, as they restricted A'ja Wilson to just 15 points and seven rebounds, and the Aces only shot 38%.

Collins highlighted the defensive work the team has been putting in and how pleased they were with the result.

"Our defense is so good," Collins said. "When we're pressuring, boxing people out.

"We've been doing rebounding drills, so that was definitely an emphasis going in. We just make it hard, and when every shot is hard, eventually it wears a team down, and that's our goal every night."

The Lynx finished with five players in double figures, with Bridget Carleton (14), Kayla McBride (13) and Jessica Shepard (10) also making their marks as Minnesota recorded the joint-highest scoring game this season (level with the Dallas Wings).

Head coach Cheryl Reeve believes the Lynx put on their best performance of the season.

"I thought our starters were incredibly locked in," Reeve told reporters.

"And then even bench minutes, you know, we've been a little longer to kind of give them a little bit more time to grow.

"Rebounding was on our minds - led by Jess. You know I like what Jess is - really gritty and just in there fighting for every rebound. She was a great leader for us, really, with both groups.

"Her effort is contagious. That fourth quarter and continuing to rebound - that was really important to the team. You could tell."

The Lynx continue to lead the WNBA standings on 22-4, with the Atlanta Dream next up on Sunday.
