Meanwhile, defender Eder Militao is back from a long-term injury and may be on the bench as well. Dani Carvajal is also back.

WOAH!!! What a glorious chance for Randal Kolo Muani. He timed his run perfectly, being found by the through ball. The Frenchman was through, but Courtois did not move from his spot, and forced Kolo Muani to chip it over, but the ball hits the roof of the net. So, so unlucky.

Juventus are slowly growing into the game, as Thuram almost found Kolo Muani with a peach of a lobbed pass. Most of Madrid’s attacks are coming down from the left flank through Vinicius, but Costa has done well to mark the Brazilian attacker.

With Madrid struggling to break down the Juve defence, Tchouameni has a crack from distance, and a deflection from the defender puts Di Gregorio on alert, who is at full stretch to put it behind for a corner.

What a wonderful clearance by Rugani on the line! Bellingham thought he had put Madrid ahead with a shot towards the far corner that bounced off the outstretched leg of Di Gregorio, but Rugani did just enough to hack it away.

Really good break from Juventus, with Thuram doing well to get away from Rudiger. His cross isn’t the best, but Locatelli recycles the ball. For now, Juventus are enjoying a good spell of possession ahead of half time.

Two good saves from Di Gregorio, firstly to deny Bellingham’s powerful effort from the edge of the box. Huijsen sends a curler from 20 yards out, and the goalkeeper has to be alert and at full stretch to palm it away.

Di Gregorio will be disappointed, as his double saves comes to nothing. The corner is recycled by Real Madrid, and a brilliant cross from Vinicius is not cleared properly by Locattelli. The oncoming ball from the right is met by young Gonzalo Garcia, who is completely unmarked in the box, and he puts it at the top of the goal past the goalkeeper.

Shots from Bellingham and Guler are blocked by the Juventus defence, who are somehow hanging on to the game. Meanwhile, the entire stadium cheers as Kylian Mbappe comes on for Real Madrid, replacing the goalscorer Garcia.

Juventus are not taking this lying down, and are trying to break the Madrid backline, but the five-man defence is doing its job admirably. Meanwhile, Vinicius remains a threat down the left flank as always.

The regulation time of 90 minutes are up, and we are three minutes into the added time of five minutes. Juventus have committed men forward to get that equaliser, but they are clearly tired and sloppy in possession.

A bit of controversy at the end as Kolo Muani hits the deck in the penalty box, but the referee waves play on. Despite Juventus’ best efforts, including a shot from Kostic, it’s all over, and Madrid pull through to the quarter-final.
