Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran was recently seen in Sarzameen. While promoting his film, in one of the interviews, Prithviraj spoke about Lucifer 3. But a few portals claimed that L3 will have underwater action sequences. His team issued a statement, slamming the reports, and called it "completely false" and "entirely untrue".

POFFACTIO, Prithviraj's official team, in a statement condemned the false news about L3 underwater sequences and clarified the misconceptions. "We express our disappointment in major channels for spreading false news, claiming that Prithviraj Sukumaran made statements about the 'L3' movie. These reports are entirely untrue. We urge all media outlets to refer to the official interview videos from the 'Sarzameen' promotions for accurate information. It appears this misinformation originated from a fake profile ID as part of a hate campaign (sic)," the statement read.

The team also requested media channels to "cross-check facts before reporting and to republish corrected news to clarify the truth to the public and Prithviraj’s well-wishers." We expect a professional approach in handling this matter," they added.

We checked Prithviraj's interview with Nayandeep Rakshit on YouTube, and there were no such claims about underwater sequences in the third instalment of Lucifer.

The Malayalam star however confirmed that the film will have more antagonists. He also revealed why he chose Pranav Mohanlal to play the younger version of Stephen Nedumpally aka Abhraam Khureshi. Pranav had a cameo role in Lucifer 2. The film starred Mohanlal in the lead role.

L2: Empuraan, which released in March this year faced controversy over scenes that allegedly depicted the 2002 Godhra riots.

Both the films were directed by Sukumaran.

Prithviraj's Sarzameen, also starring Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan, released on July 25, on JioHotstar. It received negative reviews. He will also be seen in SS Rajamouli's SSMB 29, alongside Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra.
