The hard-fought draw also earned India four World Test Championship (WTC) points, taking their tally to 16 and ensuring they remain fourth in the 2025–27 standings.

Their unbeaten 203-run partnership frustrated England’s bowlers, denying Ben Stokes’ men a shot at victory. The match concluded with Sundar bringing up his maiden Test century, while Jadeja added yet another memorable ton to his name.
